Our differences matter in how we choose to live, or how we deal with what life throws at us. Everyone had different parents and different teachers. We grew up in different places with different local cultures. We have different beliefs, different circles of friends. Some of us have had suffered accidents, live in abusive relationships, or struggle daily to overcome disease. A loved one may have died, or we question our own desire to live on. Some of our children can’t find the confidence to lead, while some children, in their desire to belong, follow those who would take advantage.
Given that the issues we face come from our own unique life and perspective, how can all of us fit into one treatment model for counseling? They can’t. At Indigo Waters we get it. We’re here to create the best treatment path for your specific needs, and we’ve found that blending both Western and Eastern philosophies and practices can provide needed help and support for the widest possible range of issues in the lives of those we help.
We believe we only truly help our patients when we embrace the concept that everything we do must flow from the idea that mental wellness and stability are fundamental social issues and rights, and that everyone should be able to access it – no matter what their background or issue, their language or culture, their immigration status, or their class.
Working together, our goal is to empower you with the strength that has always been inside you. To give you the tools you need to proactively face issues before those difficulties become unmanageable. To help you realize that however difficult the problem, your life can work.
