Insurance
At this time, Indigo Waters Counseling operates based on a fee-for-service model, which means unless you have made other arrangements, payment is due at the time of service. A receipt is provided should you wish to submit claims to your insurance company for direct reimbursement according to your out of network benefits.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please do so within 24 hours of your scheduled time. Otherwise, depending upon your reason for canceling, you may need to pay the regular session fee. Also, if you get sick or have an emergency, please cancel regardless of notice.
At Indigo Waters, please know that your confidentiality and privacy are of the utmost importance.
We live in a very small, tightly knit community, and our view is that you, and you alone, are the “keeper” of the information you share with us. In general, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and psychotherapist. Absolutely no information is ever disclosed without prior written permission from the client.
However, there are some exceptions required by law and these include:
Suspected child abuse or Dependent Adult or elder abuse.
The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
The therapist is required to notify the police.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself.
The therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
